1. A Spirit Led Church - Where Jesus is Lord
We submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over His Church and the leading of the Holy Spirit in our decision making, preaching, teaching, and worship. We encourage the operation of the Holy Spirit's gifts among us and we will attempt to keep scriptural balance, judgment, and wisdom in overseeing the exercise of gifts in the life of the church.
2. A Worshipping Church
We want to be open to the Holy Spirit to lead us in worship based on biblical principles. We are open to different expressions of worship, blending the old with the new.
3. A Biblical Church
We desire to solidly biblical in doctrine and practice. While following the leading of the Holy Spirit to apply the Scriptures to today, we resist the temptation to be "trendy" or "politically correct." preaching and teaching of the Scripture shall have a prominent place in this church.
4. A Healthy Church
We desire to see our church government operate on biblical principles to provide a healthy order so that hurting people can find a secure body of believers where they can receive ministry. We wish to encourage growth in spirit, soul, and body in an atmosphere of wholeness.
5. An Outward Focused Church
We want to minister to our own. We also desire to reach out into world missions and our own community. We want to encourage this individuality and through our SALT (serving and loving together) groups. We want to serve, with the love of Christ, the lost, hurting, and needy in the area, bringing them to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.
6. As Part of the Body of Christ
We are committed to being a vital part of the body of Christ in the area, serving and blessing brothers and sisters in other churches.
7. A Center for Thinking Christians
We want to be a resource for people who think seriously about the teachings of Christianity, who are struggling with their faith, or who desire to see the relevance of Christianity to current thought and issues in our culture.
8. An Integrated Family Church
We want to build up Christian families and aid those who must live in broken homes to give children healthy bonding between those different generations. While we realize there must be times for separate teachings and activities, we encourage an approach to church and family life that leads to harmony and togetherness.
We also affirm biblical order in the home and church, with the man functioning as a servant leader and the woman serving as helper and nurturer. In a loving spiritual order, children can be reared in a healthy environment.
